I’m so grateful for you because without you, there wouldn’t be anyone to read my articles! 😊 

 

Thanksgiving is a time when many of us focus on gratitude, which I absolutely love. But I’m curious—do you practice being grateful more than once a year? πŸ€” 

 

I’ve discovered that the more often I practice gratitude, the happier I feel. Every morning, I write in my gratitude journal as part of my morning routine. This isn’t something I rush—I like to sit with each thought, sometimes holding my heart and truly feeling the gratitude. πŸ’– 

 

In recent years, I’ve started practicing gratitude throughout the day. It’s not uncommon for me to stop what I’m doing, smile, and remind myself—and those around me—how fortunate we are to be doing what we’re doing in that moment. 😊✨ 

 

One big shift I’ve made is changing my language from “I have to” to “I GET to.” Even when it’s something I might not want to do, I find gratitude in being able to do it. I remind myself that not everyone has the same opportunities, and I feel thankful for GETTING to do those things. πŸ™Œ 

 

Every week, during Karen and my business meeting, we have a section called “Resident, Seller, Student Gratitude.” πŸ πŸ‘¨‍πŸ’ΌπŸ‘©‍πŸŽ“ This is where we name something positive we’ve heard or experienced. It’s a great way to stay grounded and remember why we’re in these businesses. The emotion of gratitude gives us the drive to push through during tough weeks. πŸ’ͺπŸ’‘ 

 

Pro Tip: Add a “because” after what you’re grateful for. πŸ™βž‘οΈπŸ’‘ For example, instead of saying, “I’m grateful for my home,” say, “I’m grateful for my home because it’s a safe, warm space where I can relax.” Adding that extra layer deepens your gratitude practice.
