Can Positive Energy Really Calm the Storm? 🌀

Do things out of your control stress you out? Maybe even something like a hurricane? 🌀

Right now, there’s a lot of worry, stress, and anxiety—understandably so—with a huge storm heading towards Florida. We already know that some people will lose their homes, and sadly, lives. It’s not going to be easy. But here’s the thing: worrying won’t make the storm go away. In fact, some of us believe that it can even make things worse.

When we’re in a state of anxiety and worry, we don’t make the best decisions. It’s unhealthy, and for some, it’s believed that negative energy can even strengthen the storm.

So what if we shifted that energy? What if instead of feeding into worry, we put out positive energy and prayers?

- Pray for the storm to calm down.

- Focus on peace and safety.

- Send out calming energy.

Now, I’m not saying we shouldn’t be prepared or that we should ignore the risks. And I’m definitely not suggesting we stay in harm’s way.

But what if we stayed positive instead?

- Would we be healthier?

- Could it calm the storm? Maybe.

- What harm could come from staying positive?

Earlier this week, I found myself anxious about the storm, stressing over how it would affect the class I was planning to teach this weekend. But then, yesterday morning, I woke up and remembered it was silly to carry all that worry. Late that morning, I decided to meditate and practice deep gratitude for about 40 minutes. WOW—I felt so much better! My whole energy shifted.

Afterward, I had a positive phone call that kept the momentum going. Not long after, I checked on the storm and saw it had slightly calmed. Plant City’s max wind speed was projected to be under 70 MPH!

Did I cause that? Probably not.

But could my energy have had a small impact? Maybe.

What I do know for sure is that I was happier and a better person because I took that time to meditate and practice gratitude. Every interaction I had after that was filled with positivity. The ripple effect was worth those 40 minutes.

Now, imagine if I had stayed stressed and worried. How different would my ripple effect been?

So, I’ll leave you with this challenge: stay positive. Maybe it’ll help calm the storm—or maybe it’ll just help you become a better person for yourself and those around you.

You have nothing to lose. 🤗✨
